Yet another Celebrate Brooklyn post, but the place is awesome. Last night we went up to see Shaggy. Yes, you heard me.
Me wind it ‘op!
He was Bombastic, the atmosphere was great, Brooklyn at its best.
These pics are with my new Sony RX100 M2 compact. Sure, they’re not as a sharp as with a DSLR, but given its size, I think it does an amazing job capturing the gig in such low light. All are taken with no flash, high iso, with some post-processing in Lightroom. I think this camera is going to be a lot of fun on the road …. assuming I don’t drop it down the toilet (again).
Ok, so this website seems to be a fairly continuous blog about Celebrate Brooklyn. It’s summer, so this is natural. That said …. we didn’t get in this evening to see Phillip Glass. Or the Dracula movie.
Bum.
Another night at Celebrate Brooklyn with great friends and and little munchkins. Not entirely clear which musicians we saw, the glow bug invasion dominated.
Friday night I padded up to Celebrate Brooklyn for the first gig I’ve seen this year there. Ladysmith Black Mambazo choir have been on my to-see list for a long time. They didn’t disappoint! Despite the rain, the music was Brill.
